ADELINE METRO
Adeline is a french artist. Her art deals with living near the nature and the sea. She draws her inspiration from her surroundings and the wild elements : Wind, sun skies, and light. The colored and moving reflections of boats on the water are subject of importance in her paintings and she wonderfuly plays with colors and light with her palette knife and colorful acrylics.
Inspired by coastal landscapes, ports, boats and long beaches, marsh and dunes, she works on large canvas, in a spontaneous way and large strokes. In her palette, all shades of blue find purpose. Blue symbolizes the essence of space, light and the boundless eternity of the sea and sky. As a sailor, she plays with blues and greens, enlighted with large spaces of clear whites and pale yellows.
Freshness an calm are founded also in her very contemporary way of representing marinas, a dynamic and graphic way of painting that signs her style, with high lines and pouring ink, in black or blue on white and high colored canvas.
“I try to go to the essentials. My abstract landscapes are more and more abstract, in fact. Image is clear and brings a feeling of peace and breather, an evidence of style. 3 distinctions this past year has given me a confidence in my choice of being more and more myself in painting. This means more sensitivity combined to more abstraction”.
